ABout me

Having come from an musical and theatrical family not having the same talent as the rest of them I started helping out backstage at the age of 14 for Darlington Youth Operatic Society, it was around this age that I also began creating my own music using a piece of software called Mixman and this also found me taking a large interest in the DJ industry.

At the age of 15 I moved from Darlington to Harpenden with the family and joined Harpenden Light Operatic Society as the lighting crew, and found myself as a follow-spot operator and desk operator for the shows. During this period I also joined Harpenden Venture Scout Unit where I found myself DJ-ing at a Christmas party. This then led to being asked to DJ for various 18th birthday parties which I did with friends, this eventually turned in to Falling Frog Entertainment and is still going strong today finding ourselves out working on a regular basis both DJ-ing and engineering.

Whilst at school I also found myself regularly helping out with various performances and concerts doing the sound as well as the lighting and this is when I decided that the live sound route is the one I wanted to take. At the age of 17 I started working for Leisure Connections at both the Alban Arena and Harpenden Public Halls as casual technical crew working with the touring crews that came.

After 6th form I packed my bags and found myself in Birmingham studying Sound Engineering & Production at the University of Central England. Whilst at UCE I was regularly engineering for band nights in the students' union and this eventually found my a job as a technician working on all the student events as well as DJ-ing. However things didn't quite work out and I left UCE in 2007 and setup on my own.

My first contract saw me working with Blue Dog Productions and I found myself based at Heathrow Terminal 5 for 6 months working closely with BA and BAA as technical support for their staff familiarisation programmes. Since then I have gone on to work elsewhere with Blue Dog Productions as well as work with TPW Productions on a variety of events including:

  • Windsor Royal Horse Show
  • Epsom Derby
  • British International Motor Show
  • Cambridge University Balls

I am still taking bookings for both sound engineer, AV and DJ work.
